Industry

The Republic gains its wealth from the mines of Reschora and Kelcestre. These are rich not only in gold, silver and platinum, but also in less familiar metals such as iridium, osmium and yttrium. A naturally occurring metallic alloy, evragar (evrekhar), of a shining red hue, is unique to Rockall. Other economic minerals include coal and anthracite (principally from Pavonara and Vragansarat) and iron ores. However, Rockall is without petroleum or natural gas. However hydroelectricity is widely exploited, for domestic and industrial use.

Agriculture and forestry are widely practiced, with fisheries on the northeast coast and among the southern islands between Greater Rockall and Lesser Rockall (Vragansarat). Local industries are encouraged; the rights of towns or regions to produce particular goods being jealously preserved. For example, in the Eslevat (Principality) of Sandastre, Argray specializes in working in horn, Petelzega in glassmaking, Varessa Navad produces purple dyes from shellfish and Halésowan is renowned for the mounting and etching of precious stones, for use in decoration or as currency. However, manufactured goods are not exported.
